De Doornkraal "Lodge Frere" Conference and Special Functions Centre
The De Doornkraal "Lodge Frere" conference centre consists of two fully equipped, airconditioned facilities:
The Dalene Matthee Room: Seats up to 20 persons in different configurations.
The William Hansell Room: Seats up to 100 persons in different configurations.
The smaller facility is named after the world famous Riversdale born writer Dalene Matthee.The larger facility is named after the first Worshipful Master of the Lodge Frere, Dr William Charles Hansell, a French medical practitioner who founded the Riversdale Freemasons movement in 1876 and built the lodge in 1888.

Cranefield College of Project and Programme Management
Cranefield College, in collaboration with De Doornkraal Historic Country House boutique hotel, offers short courses and seminars at the De Doornkraal Conference Centre. The venue is easily reached along the N2 highway from Cape Town international airport (2 hours 40 minutes) and George airport (1 hour 5 minutes).
The venue is particularly suitable for in-house programmes. Participants can enjoy the rural atmosphere and country style living while attending their course. Arrange your organisation’s next strategic session at De Doornkraal, with a facilitator from Cranefield College. The validated Continuing Professional Development short-course entitled: "Project Management for Professionals" earning participants 3 CPD points is offered regularly at De Doornkraal.
